I’m okay with it.

That’s the thing. When people are facing their own death, or even going through a really difficult time with their health and spending a lot of time in the hospital, the person experiencing the illness or approaching death often has to take care of everyone else.

They have to support everyone else because they’ve come to terms with what’s happening.

It’s really hard to be on the other side and watch someone you love go through pain or approach the end of their life, because you’re going to miss them.

When you’re nearing the end of your own life, you’re not going to miss anyone. You can’t miss them. In that sense, it can be easier to deal with your own mortality.

That idea of taking good care of everyone preemptively, before you reach that point, is really important. Having that care in place from the beginning can make things a little easier when the time comes.

The idea of finding humor around the deathbed is becoming more accepted, rather than assuming it must naturally be a deeply sad experience for everyone.
