Mark B. Ganz

Mark B. Ganz is the founder of Lion Creek Partners and the retired president and CEO of Cambia Health Solutions, the parent company of the Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield plans, which he led from 2003 until his retirement at the end of 2020. Over those eighteen years the company's health plans grew to cover more than three million members, and he created the Cambia Health Foundation, whose Sojourns Scholar Leadership Program has funded a generation of palliative care leaders.

He made person-centered care for people with serious illness a central commitment of the company, building one of the first health plan palliative care benefits in the country and pushing the industry to treat the end of life as something other than a cost problem. He serves on the board of the Coalition to Transform Advanced Care, and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Georgetown University.
