Hi, I’m Melissa Etheridge. I am incredibly honored to be coming to you from my home in Los Angeles, California, here in my studio, and joining you at the End Well Symposium.

The subject of our last days on Earth and how we transition into the nonphysical is very near and dear to me.

There are many religious thoughts and teachings about death, but I tend to feel that our journey doesn’t end with our bodies. I have always felt that we are eternal beings.

The discussion of how we transition out of our physical beings and into our nonphysical beings, taking that being inside of us and moving on into the nonphysical, is important. I think the discussion of psychedelics and plant medicine is extremely important.

I have a deep belief that these entheogens, these plant medicines that have been available on Earth since the beginning of time, play a big part and are here for the purpose of helping us humans guide ourselves and our loved ones through the journey that is.

I truly believe that psilocybin is a real key to helping people through the fear of death.

We have a great deal of research into how psilocybin can help with fear among terminally ill patients, especially cancer patients. It definitely helps with pain, but it also helps with understanding how our spirits are not our bodies and how our spirits are eternal.

Giving that sort of understanding to a patient, to someone in hospice, to someone who is ready for that journey, and giving them the entheogen that can help their brain give way to their intuitive side, that side of the brain that is connected with spirit, eternalness and the eternal now, can offer relief.

For people working in hospice, people who deal with this transition every day, it can help them help their patients. It can take them out of pain and take them out of fear.

It has been proven that psilocybin can remove that fear and settle the patient into a place of understanding what is happening to them. It can also help their families see their loved one in less pain.

The work that you do is priceless. It is blessed work.

All we can do is our best to help our fellow travelers on this journey we call life, a journey that has a definite beginning and a definite end for each and every one of us.

Let’s spend the time researching and looking into how these plant medicines were made to help us at the end of our journey.

I love the work you are all doing so much. I wish you the best, and I look forward to being part of your organization for a long time to come.

I believe very deeply in this cause.

Thank you so much, everyone, and have a wonderful day.
