Palliative Care Physician, Radio Host

Dawn Gross is a palliative care physician in San Francisco and the host of Dying to Talk, a radio program and community project that invites people to say out loud what matters most to them before a crisis makes the conversation urgent. She trained as a hematologist and holds a PhD in immunology.
Her practice centers on the question of how someone wants to live, not only how they want to die, and she has worked with hospice, home-based palliative care and the ZSFG palliative care service. She teaches clinicians to ask better questions and to listen for the answer.
