Julie Holland is a psychiatrist specializing in psychopharmacology and the author of several books, including Moody Bitches, Good Chemistry: The Science of Connection from Soul to Psychedelics, and Weekends at Bellevue, a memoir of nine years running the psychiatric emergency room at Bellevue Hospital.

She has served as a medical monitor for clinical trials of MDMA-assisted therapy and writes and speaks on connection, grief and the therapeutic potential of psychedelics in serious illness.
