Jeremy Bailenson

Jeremy Bailenson is the Thomas More Storke Professor of Communication at Stanford and the founding director of its Virtual Human Interaction Lab, where he studies how virtual and augmented reality change perception, empathy and behavior. He is the author of Experience on Demand and co-author of Infinite Reality.

His lab's work includes studies on using VR to build empathy across difference, to treat pain, and to let people encounter their own aging — research that has been applied to retirement saving and to conversations about later life.
