Rylie Kearns

Loss and grief are ageless. For children, the death of a loved one during their own time of dependency and development can be deeply disorienting. Rylie Kearns, who recently lost her father, shares her experience learning what she believes is the most important truth of all—you’re not alone—and hopes by speaking publicly she can reach other children who may not believe they will ever feel good again.

About the Speaker

Rylie Kearns is currently an 8th grade honors student and a member of Beta Club involved in activities including American Sign Language Club, TREPS club and Girl Scouts. Rylie is interested in pursuing a career in Nursing in the United States Air Force. In her leisure time, Rylie plays goalkeeper for her club soccer team, catcher for softball and is a recreation cheerleader when she isn’t spending time with her mom or dog, Roxy Hope.
